Horror’s Best Ghost Movies

Who doesn’t like a good ghost story? Of course, all horror fans do. When I began braking down my “Horror’s Best” series I had no idea that the ghost category was so diverse. There are some movies that you would think would be ghost category but are actually more possession/demonic movies.

Here is my list of horror’s best ghost movies.

1. The Changeling (1980) – incredible cinematography and superb performance by George C. Scott.

2. Poltergeist (1982) – still one of my favorites and incredible cast!

3. The Sixth Sense (1999) – I love a movie with a twist and Bruce Willis rocks.

4. Thirteen Ghosts (2001) – of the Top four this is by far the scariest.

5. Paranormal Activity (2007) – was part of my Best Found Footage films list.

6. Beetlejuice (1988) – Michael Keaton was brilliant in Tim Burton’s dark horror-Comedy

7. Oculus (2013) – A mirror with a malevolent force that infects those who look into it. Mirrors are creepy.

8. The House on Haunted Hill (1959) – a haunted house ghost story with Vincent Price…classic.

9. The Fog (1980) – spirits of the wronged come back to haunt a town as a thick fog. All I can say is Adrienne Barbeau

10. The Grudge (2004) – a haunted house in Tokyo that claims the lives of anyone who inhabits it.
